Arsenal appears to be shifting its focus from pursuing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to targeting a player from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Arsenal's pursuit of attacking reinforcements has reportedly led them to Wolverhampton Wanderers' in-form forward, Matheus Cunha.
The Gunners are understood to be admirers of the Brazilian international, whose performances, including a goal directly from a corner in Wolves' 2-0 upset of Manchester United on Boxing Day, have caught the eye.

However, securing his signature in the January transfer window presents a big challenge for the Gunners.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal's interest in the 25-year-old predates Bukayo Saka's hamstring injury, which is expected to sideline him for "many weeks." Coupled with Raheem Sterling's ongoing knee problem, Mikel Arteta's attacking options have been significantly depleted, intensifying the need for reinforcements.
"Arsenal hold an interest in Wolves forward Matheus Cunha but would face a huge battle landing him during the transfer window while the Brazilian is involved in a fight for survival at Molineux," the report states.
Currently battling to maintain their top-flight status for an eighth consecutive season, Wolves are understandably reluctant to part ways with a key player like Cunha.
The Telegraph further revealed that Cunha has two full seasons remaining on his current contract at Wolves, and the club is keen to extend his stay following his positive impact since arriving from Spain.

Victor Osimhen Vs Ademola Lookman. Who is better? - José Peseiro settles debate
The Lookman versus Osimhen debate has been ongoing, but the ex-coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, José Peseiro, has finally stated who the better player is. Do you agree with him?
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, could be a hot commodity in the January transfer window, thanks to a release clause in his loan agreement that allows ten unnamed clubs to sign him with a suitable offer to Napoli.
The Italian club has reportedly lowered their asking price to around £62m, potentially enticing clubs like Arsenal to make a bid.
However, the Gunners might have secured Osimhen's services much earlier had things gone differently nine years ago.
Osimhen's brother, Andrew, previously revealed to Complete Sports the reasons behind his sibling's decision to reject Arsenal's advances in 2015.
He explained the challenging circumstances surrounding the numerous offers received at the time and his determination to ensure Victor made the right choice.
