Arsenal are reportedly prepared to bring in Samuel Chukwueze to fill the boots of injured Saka.

Arsenal have reportedly registered interest in Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze, as they are said to be searching the market for temporary solutions to Bukayo Saka’s injury.

Saka leaves Arsenal short

During Arsenal's last Premier League game, the triumph over Crystal Palace, the British-Nigerian had to be substituted early after he appeared to have hurt his hamstring.

After tests were conducted, Mikel Arteta confirmed the worst, stating that the winger hurt the muscle and would be out of action for several weeks. Conflicting reports have been published on his return date, with some outlets forecasting February while others expect him to return in March.

Raheem Sterling was brought in the summer to provide support in situations like this, but Arteta confirmed the former Manchester City man is injured as well.

The Gunners are one of the contenders for the Premier League title this season and a lengthy absence for Saka could spell doom.

They are reportedly looking for solutions with the January transfer window approaching and have identified Chukwueze, who has struggled for game time at Milan.

According to Milan Live the Rossoneri are also willing to sell as they are prepared to cut their losses after dolling out €20 million to land the Nigerian from Villarreal two summers ago.
