As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, the club have reportedly made initial contact regarding a potential deal with a release clause of £43.6m (€52m).

Arsenal's need for a new striker has been highlighted by their recent struggles in front of goal, especially after Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz sustained injuries.

The club opted against signing a centre-forward in January, a decision that has been questioned.

Kean has been in impressive form for Fiorentina, scoring 20 goals in 34 appearances this season.

His performances have attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and West Ham United.

Arsenal are expected to strengthen their attacking options in the summer, with Kean among their targets.

The Gunners are also reportedly interested in RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, and have been linked to other Serie A strikers Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez.

What next for Arsenal?

Arsenal head into the international break 12 points behind Liverpool with nine games remaining.

The Gunners next play Fulham on April 1 after the hiatus.
