According to reports, Super Eagles new head coach Eric Chelle is set to arrive in the country from France for his official unveiling.
Chelle was confirmed the new head coach of the Super Eagles yesterday by the NFF after several months of being without one.
Augustine Eguavoen, who was interim coach for the last four months of 2024, was replaced by the former Mali coach after leading the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Chelle will now be in charge of leading Nigeria to the FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.

Forget the meme, Nigeria Super Eagles seem to have a man who does not like defeats in Eric Chelle.
Chelle to arrive in Nigeria
According to reports, Chelle would visit Paris, France, today before going to Nigeria to be unveiled as the new coach of the Super Eagles.
Ojora Babatunde posted on X saying, “Eric Chelle will leave Oran, Algeria tomorrow for Paris, France, before departing for Nigeria for the official unveiling of his appointment by the Nigeria Football Federation.”
On Sunday, he is expected to land in Nigeria with three helpers who have been with him during his tenure with MC Oran and Mali.
He has managed a number of lower-league French clubs and led Mali to the AFCON quarterfinals last year.
Chelle was the head coach of MC Oran, a top-tier Algerian team, until his most recent job. He did, however, agree to leave the team this week in order to concentrate on his new position with Nigeria.
According to rumours, Chelle will sign a two-year contract that will cover the remaining 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2025 AFCON in Morocco; however, the NFF has not yet revealed the details of his agreement.
The NFF is hoping that Chelle's appointment will give the team time to prepare for success on the international scene.
Nigeria's next World Cup qualifiers are set for March, and they include important matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
