Arne Slot’s men could respond to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s possible exit by getting one over both Real Madrid and Barca.

Liverpool are reportedly preparing an ambitious double swoop for full-backs Jeremie Frimpong and Alphonso Davies in response to the rumoured departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid.

Liverpool’s full-back interests

According to TEAMtalk, the Reds are resigned to losing Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer at the end of the season, with Los Blancos confident of securing his signature.

In a bold move, the Premier League giants are now targeting two of Real Madrid's own defensive targets, Frimpong and Davies.

Liverpool have identified Bayer Leverkusen's Frimpong as their primary choice to replace Alexander-Arnold at right-back and have already initiated talks with the German club.

They face competition from Manchester City, but are currently considered frontrunners for the Dutch international's signature.

Furthermore, the Reds are looking to revamp their left-back options as well, with Andy Robertson nearing the end of his prime.

They have set their sights on Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies, a player also admired by Real and Barcelona. The Reds are reportedly frustrated by Real Madrid's pursuit of Alexander-Arnold and are determined to make a statement by acquiring Davies.

Should a move for Davies prove unsuccessful, Arne Slot’s men have alternative targets in mind, including Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez and Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes.
