Premier League giants Manchester United are working on a big-money signing in January to improve the squad for new boss Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United's search for attacking reinforcements is set to continue in the January transfer window with Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze firmly on their radar.
According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, signing a talented wide player like Eze remains a priority for United in the next transfer window, under new boss Ruben Amorim.
"Man United want to invest in a winger in 2025," Romano revealed on his YouTube channel.
"They have not fully decided but for sure Eze is one of the players they have been scouting."
Eze's impressive performances have caught United's attention, and his release clause, reportedly around £60 million, is a key factor. However, Romano warned that dealing with Crystal Palace can be complex.
"We know how complicated the clauses at Crystal Palace are every single time – we saw that with Michael Olise," Romano noted.
"But for sure, Eze will have a release clause, and the clause has an important detail. The main part of the payment has to be done upfront."
There is also the issue of squad depth and adding a versatile creative talent like Eze will be crucial for United's success in the Europa League, League Cup, FA Cup, and Premier League.
