Sources in Italy suggest Ruben Amorim's side are considering one of Lookman's teammates to bolster their midfield.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Atalanta midfielder Ederson as a key transfer target and are reportedly preparing to intensify their pursuit of the Brazilian star.

Man Utd’s Ederson interest

Following extensive internal evaluations, the Red Devils believe Ederson would be the ideal addition to their midfield ranks and a potential long-term successor to Casemiro.

The 25-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe, attracting interest from several top clubs, including Liverpool.

However, the Red Devils appear determined to secure his signature and are reportedly planning to initiate talks with La Dea in the near future, as per Tuttomercatoweb.

With a Champions League knockout phase play-off place almost secured and an impressive 11-match winning streak propelling them to the top of Serie A, the Italian club are keen to retain their key players for their pursuit of silverware.

Furthermore, the report states that Atalanta are expected to demand a significant fee for the Brazilian, likely matching or exceeding the €60 million they received for Teun Koopmeiners' transfer to Juventus last summer.
