According to El Gol Digital, club president Florentino Pérez is eager to "Spanishify" the squad, and bringing in two of Spain’s brightest attacking stars would be a major statement.

Nico Williams could be the first domino to fall

With Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo attracting interest from top European clubs and Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid may have the funds to pull off a transfer reminiscent of Luis Figo’s controversial switch from Barcelona in 2000.

Real Madrid’s interest in Nico Williams appears to be the most immediate priority, especially if Vinicius Jr leaves.

Reports suggest that Saudi clubs are willing to offer the Brazilian an astonishing €1 billion deal, which could see Madrid pocket around €300 million from the transfer. If that happens, Pérez would waste no time in triggering Williams' €60 million release clause at Athletic Club.

Williams, one of La Liga’s most electrifying wingers, has impressed with his pace, dribbling, and link-up play for both club and country.

Yamal’s complicated situation and the Rodrygo factor

The potential departure of Rodrygo to Manchester City could also play a pivotal role in Real Madrid’s transfer strategy.

If the Brazilian moves to Pep Guardiola’s side, Real Madrid would have even greater financial flexibility to go after Barcelona’s teenage sensation, Yamal.

However, Yamal’s situation is far more complex, as he remains deeply tied to Barcelona’s long-term project.

That said, Madrid could leverage Williams' signing to entice Yamal, as the two Spanish wingers share a close friendship and have expressed their desire to one day play together at club level.

If Los Blancos secures Williams first, Yamal could become a more realistic target in the future, setting the stage for what would be one of the most audacious moves in recent transfer history.
