Report: Ronaldo to PSG debunked

The reports suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo could join Paris Saint-Germain have been shut down.

The reports suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo was in talks to join Paris Saint-Germain have immediately been doused.

The 39-year-old striker joined Al-Nassr in January of 2023 in a sensational, mouthwatering deal. He penned a two-and-a-half-year contract; hence, his deal is set to expire at the end of the current season.

With only six months left and an extension yet to be signed, Ronaldo has been linked with a number of clubs, including Fenerbahce, before Jose Mourinho immediately dismissed it.

PSG not in for Ronaldo

In the last few days, reports have suggested that Ronaldo was in conversations with the French champions over a possible move as a free agent in summer.

However, the renowned Fabrizio Romano immediately published a report to dismiss the rumours, stating authoritatively that talks were not being had.

Ronaldo is committed to developing and propagating football in Saudi Arabia, but with his contract situation, there have been suggestions that he is frustrated with Al Nassr’s lack of success.

He has yet to lift a major piece of silverware since joining the Faris Najd. They are currently 4th and 11 points behind leaders Al-Ittihad.

Also, Ronaldo's repeated divisive comments about Ligue 1 make it unlikely he desires a move to PSG. He has, on multiple occasions, stated that the French top flight was uncompetitive as the Parisiens are the dominant team.
