The Portuguese tactician has reportedly submitted his list of unwanted players to the club's board as part of plans to rebuild for the upcoming season.

Seven players on Mourinho’s exit list

Mourinho's supposed list includes notable names such as Cengiz Under, Bartug Elmaz, Lincoln Henrique, Samet Akaydin, Allan Saint-Maximin, Sebastian Szymanski, and Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Fenerbahce kicked off the Turkish Cup in style.

The inclusion of Szymanski in particular comes as a surprise, considering the midfielder was previously praised by Mourinho.

Bright Osayi-Samuel, who has been a key player for Mourinho this season with ten league appearances and one assist, is also reportedly on the brink of departure.

The Nigerian international’s contract with Fenerbahce is set to expire at the end of the season, and no extension has been agreed upon.

This has led to speculation about a potential free transfer, though claims of a move to Galatasaray have been refuted.

Mourinho under fire amid war against Turkish referees

While preparing for a summer clearout, Mourinho has faced criticism for Fenerbahce’s underwhelming performance in the Turkish Super Lig this season.

Outshone by Galatasaray, who lead the league by 11 points, Mourinho has frequently voiced his frustrations about refereeing decisions, accusing officials of bias against his team.

Following a controversial match on January 6, Mourinho blasted Turkish referees, alleging unfair treatment and suggesting that opponents benefited from lenient officiating.

Jose Mourinho was not pleased with his sending off.

"Why are you hiding the truth? What are people afraid of in this country? If the opponent’s colours were different, they could have been down to 8 players," Mourinho said in a fiery post-match interview.

Fenerbahce fans have expressed mixed reactions to Mourinho’s leadership, with some questioning his focus on external factors rather than addressing the team’s inconsistent performances, and the pressure remains high for the iconic manager to turn the tide for the Istanbul-based club.
