FOOTBALL Onduparaka booted from Green Light Stadium
In an official letter dated June 23, 2023, addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of Onduparaka FC, it was disclosed that the club had failed to effectively manage the playground.
Part of the letter stated, "Arising out of the challenges of managing Onduparaka playground, also known as the Green Light stadium2, I have taken over the facility's management with immediate effect."
However, following a meeting between Onduparaka FC's management and the Resident City Commissioner, both parties have reached a compromise, with the club releasing a statement to that effect on Friday indicating the different resolutions agreed upon.

FOOTBALL Ex-Cranes forward Caesar Okhuti in new coaching role
Former Uganda Cranes forward Caesar Okhuti has taken over the head coach role of FUFA Drum title holders, West Nile Province as the tournament gets underway.
Part of the statement read, "Ondupraka FC will continue with normal activities of managing the stadium," the club statement revealed.
"As they wait for the renewal of its memorandum of understanding from Madi and West Nile Diocese, which before the signing will be discussed amongst the key stakeholders."
Onduparaka FC was relegated from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for the first time since they gained promotion eight years ago.
The side has used the Green Light stadium as a home ground for the past five years. They played in the top flight.
Over the years, the West Nile side has produced several, building a vibrant fan base that always saw the Green Light stadium filled to capacity during home league games.
