Which forward has the best goals-per-minute ratio in Europe's big-five leagues?
When considering the most prolific goal-scorer in Europe's top five leagues this season, many would understandably think of Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski.
However, while those superstars are among the top scorers in the Premier League, LaLiga and the Bundesliga, they do not lead in their respective leagues when it comes to the best goals-per-minute ratio.

Haaland, Kane, Salah and Mbappe are not Europe’s most prolific marksmen
Surprisingly, the forward with the highest goal-per-minute return across Europe is Barcelona's Ferran Torres, as reported by ESPN.

The Spain international has been in excellent form, scoring five goals in his last four games, including the decisive goal in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid.
In LaLiga, Torres currently has the best goal-per-minute ratio of any forward. The former Manchester City attacker has scored 16 goals in 33 appearances for Barcelona this season, averaging a goal every 79.1 minutes.
Torres is ahead of Real Madrid's Endrick (1 goal per 80.4 minutes) and Barcelona teammate Robert Lewandowski (83.9). Villarreal striker Ayoze Perez (95.7) is the only other player in La Liga with a scoring ratio better than a goal every 100 minutes this season.

In the Premier League, Jhon Duran had the best goals-per-minute ratio (86.9) before his January departure.
Marco Asensio of Aston Villa has a better ratio, but he has played fewer than 500 minutes this season (481). Chelsea's Marc Guiu is second, scoring six goals in 580 minutes
James McAtee of Manchester City is third, with six goals in 648 minutes (108) while Haaland is tied for fourth with Alexander Isak (111.5).

In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich's Kane leads with a goal every 89.5 minutes, ahead of Bayer Leverkusen's Patrick Schick (92.5) and Bochum's Myron Boadu (93.0).
In Serie A, Atalanta's Mateo Retegui is the only striker with a ratio below 100 minutes (98.3), followed by Inter Milan's Marko Arnautovic (102.7). Ademola Lookman (122.1) and Fiorentina’s Moise Kean (132.9) are behind Italy’s top-flight leading pair.

In Ligue 1, Ousmane Dembele of Paris Saint-Germain has the best goal-per-minute ratio (1 goal every 81.1 mins), narrowly edging out teammate Goncalo Ramos (83.7).
