Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has slammed Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca after Sunday's 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
Rio Ferdinand has criticised Chelsea winger Noni Madueke for storming off the pitch after being substituted in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
Madueke was visibly angry when replaced by Mykhailo Mudryk, and Ferdinand deemed his actions "disrespectful" to his teammates.
"You think [Danny] Welbeck, Tom Cleverly, or Nani are going to storm off the pitch and throw their dummy out?" Ferdinand said on Rio Ferdinand Presents.
"It's disrespectful to your teammates as well."
Ferdinand also questioned Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca's decision to downplay Madueke's behavior.
"That's where the manager comes in. I think the manager protecting him is mad... Fined, that's a two-week fine."
Ferdinand emphasized the importance of experienced players stepping in to address Madueke's actions.
"It's a young team. Who are the experienced players going to go in there and say, 'Woah, we don't accept that here'?"
The former Manchester United legend stressed that Madueke's behavior was unacceptable and warranted disciplinary action.
