Kenyan Rising Starlets begin their journey to the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, facing Cameroon in a crucial third-round qualifier.

A 23-player Rising Starlets squad departed the country on Thursday morning for Cameroon where they will face the hosts in the first leg of the third round in the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup qualifier.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled for Saturday, November 11 in Yaounde, Cameroon.

In the previous round, the Rising Starlets secured a remarkable 10-1 aggregate victory over Angola.

The impressive performance ignited hopes and dreams of a spot in the 2024 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, hosted in Colombia.

According to statement released by FKF, Rising Starlets coach Beldeen Odemba is pleased to report that the camp remains injury-free.

While the absence of eight players, who are currently sitting for their KCSE exams, is a notable loss, the Rising Starlets have demonstrated resilience and adaptability.

With their eyes firmly set on the fourth round, the Rising Starlets are determined to overcome their Cameroonian counterparts.

A victory here would propel them into a high-stakes confrontation with the winner of the Congo-Egypt match, adding more weight to the challenge.

The first leg of this critical encounter is set to kick off at 7 PM EAT on Saturday, November 11 at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo.
