Manchester City star Rodri has weighed in on the debate of who is the GOAT between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Following an impressive season for Man City and Spain, Rodri was named the winner of the Ballon d’Or award ahead of Vinicius Jr.
The 28-year-old was one of the key players in Pep Guardiola’s team, with City winning their fourth consecutive Premier League title.
The Spanish midfielder also played a massive role in helping Spain win the 2024 European Championship in Germany.

According to Fabrizio on X, via @El_Hormiguero, Rodri said, "Best player of all time? I have no doubt, Lionel Messi. Cristiano has managed to match Messi without innate talent.

"But those of us who play against them, we realise the difference. We didn't want Cristiano to step on the area, he was lethal there. But with Messi, he passed everywhere on the field.

“Zero doubts. For me, Leo Messi is the best player ever. When he received the ball, you were thinking: there is danger coming…
“When I faced him, I would try to take the ball away from him, but he would get away from you as if you weren't there.”
The midfielder claimed that Messi is a dangerous player to play against, which makes him difficult to face.
Meanwhile, Rodri has been ruled out of the season after rupturing his ACL against Arsenal and undergoing surgery.
