Alex Iwobi was put under pressure to perform his new song by his Super Eagles led by Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface and Samuel Chukwueze.

Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, and Samuel Chukwueze have put pressure on their teammate Alex Iwobi to perform his new song, "What’s Luv?" during a recent dinner and initiation ceremony for new players.

This event took place ahead of the crucial final rounds of matches in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Iwobi, who plays for Fulham, has been gaining attention not only for his football skills but also for his budding music career.

His latest single, "What’s Luv?", follows his debut track "Don’t Shoot," making him the first Premier League player to release an official song.

The new track is characterised as a blend of Afro-Swing and Rap, reflecting Iwobi's Nigerian roots through its vibrant beats.

During the initiation ceremony, Iwobi was encouraged by his teammates to showcase his musical talent in front of them for the first time since the release of his song.

"Run am for us," Boniface and Chukwueze stated jointly in the video shared by Ola Aina on his SnapChat.

"You have gone to the studio to sing, perform now, you won't," a furious Boniface stated before Chukwueze added; "You will have more views on YouTube."

Despite the urging from Osimhen, Boniface, and Chukwueze, Iwobi appeared reluctant to perform.

In a recent social media post, Iwobi expressed his passion for music, stating, “Music has always been a passion of mine and a way for me to express myself away from football.”

He hopes that his music inspires young people to embrace their unique interests and talents.

As the Super Eagles prepare for their upcoming match against Benin Republic, Iwobi's dual pursuits in football and music continue to captivate fans both on and off the pitch.

Samu Chukwueze promised Iwobi more views on YouTube should he perform.

While he refused offers to perform from his teammates, the Fulham playmaker will be expected to help the Eagles overcome their hosts Cheetahs to help Nigeria seal that elusive ticket to the AFCON 2025 next year.
