Fresh from winning the Rwanda Premier League, APR consider Karisa as one of the tools they would want to use in the CAF Champions League.

As Milton Karisa inspired Vipers SC to a League and Cup double in the recently-concluded season, several top teams in the region were taking note.

One of those is Rwanda’s army side APR, who are now said to be keen on a move for the speedy winger.

APR had, in the past, closed the door on foreign players, but that seems to have changed with the club looking for better returns in continental football.

Should Karisa agree to a deal out of Vipers, he will only be one of several players expected to have played their last games for the club.

Disan Galiwango, Ibrahim Orit and a host of other players are expected to be on their way out of Kitende.

Karisa was a pillar in Vipers’ triumph in the Startimes Uganda Premier League and the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

He scored the lone goal in the Uganda Cup final to help Alex Isabirye’s charges to their first ever double.

Having first joined Vipers in 2017, Karisa switched to Moroccan side MC Oujda in 2018 on a two-year contract before returning to Kitende in 2020.

He has since been an integral part of the team and was named skipper at the start of the recently-concluded season, replacing the departing Halid Lwaliwa.

Karisa is currently part of the Uganda Cranes team preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers match against Algeria on Sunday.

If he does make the move, Karisa will join a list of Ugandan players plying their trade in the Rwandan League, including Joachim Ojera, Musa Esenu and Muzamir Mutyaba.
