Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane scored twice as Senegal beat Brazil.

Senegal continued their impressive run of form, going unbeaten in their last eight games following the 4-2 win over five-time world champions Brazil.

Their recent victim was Brazil, as they brushed aside the record World Cup winners in a convincing 4-2 victory.

Despite a tumultuous year at club level, Sadio Mane continued to be a talisman for Aliu Cisse's side, scoring twice in the famous victory.

How it happened

With the Selecao coaching situation still in the air, they turned against a Senegal side that had been invincible in their last seven.

The Selecao started well and even got a relatively early lead when Vinicius set up Lucas Paqueta in the 11th minute.

Things seemed to be heading from bad to worse for the Taranga Lions when Vinicius was deemed to have been fouled in the box; however, an initial penalty decision was overturned.

The call galvanised the official visitors of the day, and they started to apply themselves better. Habib Diallo found the equaliser in the 22nd minute as Cisse's men began to play on equal footing.

Senegal caught fire at the start of the second-half, and forced an own-goal from Brazil's captain Marquinhos.

Mane made the African team's lead healthier only three minutes later, finishing off a Diallo assist brilliantly.

Marquinhos made up for his own-goal almost immediately after Mane's goal, halving the Lions' advantage, but the African champions had the last say on the scoreboard as Mane scored a late penalty to confirm a famous 4-2 victory.
