The brace marked Mayanja's first goals of the campaign, to better last season's tally where he netted just once in the league.

Midfielder Saidi Mayanja oozed class as he inspired KCCA FC to a 4-1 thrashing of Busoga United in the Uganda Premier League at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Thursday.

Besides being virtually involved in everything in defence and attack for the Kasasiro Boys, Mayanja spared time to grab his maiden brace against the Jinja-based outfit.

His first was a thing of glaring anticipation, as he dashed into the box, to rifle past goalkeeper Michael Lutaaya, following great work by Herbert Achai.

His second was a cheeky finish past Lutaaya after amazing work from Usama Arafat Kizza on the right.

The brace marked Mayanja's first goals of the campaign, to better last season's tally where he netted just once in the league.

Usama Arafat also managed to get his name on the scoresheet with the final goal for KCCA, as he robbed the defence to lob the goalkeeper from outside the box.

KCCA skipper Filbert Obenchan had given his side the lead in the early moments of the first half.

Meanwhile, versed defender Isaac Isinde grabbed Busoga United's consolation on an evening to forget.

Following the result, KCCA are seventh with 32 points in 21 matches, while Busoga United sit 14th on 16-team log with 17 points.
