Bukayo Saka overtook both Phil Foden and Cristiano Ronaldo to reach a new Premier League milestone

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka continues to make a name for himself as one of the Premier League’s legends in the making after reaching yet another milestone in record time following Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the second game week of the new season.

Saka stars as Arsenal humble Aston Villa

After derailing Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League last season, the match against Aston Villa had the makings of a grudge match, but the Villans’ attempt to intimidate the Gunners by displaying their UEFA Champions League trophy before the match backfired spectacularly.

Arsenal, led by Saka were in no mood for mind games, securing a comfortable 2-0 victory to keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings.

Saka was superb for Arsenal on the day, assisting Thomas Partey’s second goal, and creating more Premier League history in the process.

Thanks to the win against Aston Villa, Saka has now reached the unbelievable milestone of 100 Premier League wins in his short career with Arsenal.

At the age of 22 years and 354 days, Saka became the third youngest player to achieve this feat, doing so in only 172 matches for Arsenal.

The Gunners’ Starboy beat Manchester City star Phil Foden, who was 22 years and 358 days old when he reached 100 wins, and Manchester United icon Cristiano Ronaldo, who was 23 years and 25 days old when he won his 100th game with the Red Devils.

Saka has been brilliant as usual for Arsenal in the new season, scoring once and assisting twice in the opening two matches of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, and is set to have another remarkable season with the Gunners.
