How long did it take for Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka to amaze the Emirates crowd after three-month silence?

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka made a triumphant return from a three-month injury layoff, scoring the decisive goal in their 2-1 victory over Fulham

Saka last played for Mikel Arteta’s men against Crystal Palace on December 21, significantly hampering Mikel Arteta’s attack for most of the second half of the season.

However, the wide attacker returned with a bang against Arsenal’s cross-town rivals.

Arsenal vs Fulham

Mikel Merino had earlier given Arsenal the lead in the opening half via a deflection and the Gunners stayed ahead at the break.

Saka entered the game as a second-half substitute and wasted little time in making an impact. Seven minutes after coming on, he headed home a clever flick from Gabriel Martinelli to double Arsenal’s advantage.

Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz scored late in stoppage time, setting up a tense finish, but the hosts held on to secure the win.

The match highlighted Saka's return and his immediate contribution to Arsenal's success, with the Premier League revealing that the forward scored the match-winning strike six minutes and 38 seconds after his introduction.

Despite the positivity surrounding Saka, Arsenal lost Gabriel to a first-half injury against Marco Silva’s men, a worrying sign with Real Madrid on the horizon.

What next for Arsenal

Arsenal travel to Everton on Saturday, April 5, three days before welcoming Carlo Ancelotti’s men on April 8.
