The Egyptian star, whose future continues to generate nonstop rumours, needs just one more goal or assist in an away game to set a new record for the most goal contributions away from home in a single Premier League season.

He is currently tied with Manchester United legend Andy Cole, who managed 21 goal contributions on the road for Newcastle United in the 1993-94 season.

Salah has a good record against Everton, having scored five goals in his last six appearances against the Toffees (seven in 11 overall).

He will be looking to add to that tally on Wednesday and help Liverpool secure a vital win in their quest for the Premier League title.

However, the forward has fired blanks in his last two visits to Goodison Park, with the Reds drawing in 2022-23 (0-0) and losing 2-0 last term.

Wednesday’s match will also be Liverpool's last visit to Goodison Park before Everton move to their new stadium next season, and Salah will be hoping to mark the occasion with a record-breaking performance.

Success for Arne Slot’s men in their outstanding game will send them nine points clear of Arsenal atop the Premier League table.
