Arsenal legend 'surprised' Blues missed out on ex-Dortmund star after failing to land Osimhen
Paul Merson believes Chelsea should have signed the perfect Victor Osimhen alternative before deadline day.
The move signified an end in his long saga with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, which started with Sancho refusing to apologise for publicly firing back at the Dutch tactician.
Felix, on the other hand, fell out with Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and has had to spend the past one-and-a-half seasons away from the club.
What Maresca said
The Blues secured a hard-fought victory against Bournemouth earlier today thanks to a well-worked assist from Jadon Sancho, finished off by Christopher Nkunku. Sancho had a brilliant performance in the game and was handed the Man of the Match award right after.
Speaking after the game, Maresca acknowledged that both Sancho and Felix are perceived as problematic, but he explained that he has not had such problems with them.
"I don't see problems around Jadon [Sancho], around Joao [Felix],” he told reporters, per the BBC. “I don't see anything negative, to be honest.
“Jadon is a very good player and I knew, because I know him, that he is a very good player and can help us. Now all the noise around him, I don't care. With us, he's very polite, training well on and off the ball. We are happy for him."
