Juventus stumbled to a defeat against Sassuolo at the Reggio Emilia stadium making it a back-to-back defeat for them in the Serie A.
Davide Frattesi was one of the outstanding performers in the game as they earned all three points against the Old Lady. The Sassuolo director has now confirmed Juventus's interest in the defender.
Clubs should follow the path of nurturing young talents
Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali affirms Juventus' interest in Davide Frattesi and expresses his wish that more organisations adopt a policy of developing young players.
Speaking after the game, Carnevali said, “It is a good thing, as not only teams like Sassuolo, but also the big clubs should bet on young Italian players. I think it is a good way of beginning a new era.”
Frattesi targetted by several clubs
Frattesi, an Italian, has been linked to a number of clubs for the summer, including Arsenal, Juventus, Roma, Milan, and more.
Still speaking, he said, “It won’t be easy for him, as naturally there is a lot of focus on him. Many clubs are interested, but it’s still too early to talk about the transfer market. There is nothing concrete with Juventus, it’s premature to talk about that, but there is interest from Juve.”
Sassuolo who sits in 10th position on the league table will travel to Salernitana next week Saturday as they hope to maintain their good run in the Serie A.
