The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman has declared a total public holiday in the Kingdom after Saudi Arabia's historic win over Argentina in Qatar 2022.
Saudi Arabia shocked two-time winners and FIFA World Cup favourite Argentina 2-1 to get their Qatar 2022 off to a superb start.

Crown Prince declares a public holiday
In a swift reaction to the win, the Kingdom's Crown Prince, Salman, has declared a public holiday for everyone.
According to the Saudi Gazette, both workers in the private and public sectors and students have been asked to have a free Wednesday to celebrate the historic feat.
"Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued directives on Tuesday that Wednesday, will be a holiday for all employees in the entire government and private sectors, as well as for students in all phases of education," the Gazette stated.
The publication added that the decision is "in line with the recommendation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to celebrate the joyous occasion of the stunning victory of the Saudi national team against Argentina in their opening game of FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar," the report added.
How the Prince celebrated the win
Meanwhile, the entire Kingdom has been thrown into celebration after their Green Falcons shocked former World Champions Argentina in Qatar.
Led by the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, Saudis have been in a celebratory mood following the historic win.
Prince Salman was pictured with some other high-ranking officials dancing and hugging each other after the win at a packed Lusail Stadium.
