Defender Savio Kabugo has embarked on a fresh chapter in his illustrious career, signing a one-year contract with FUFA Big League side Lugazi FC.
Kabugo's arrival at the club marks a marquee addition to their squad as he brings a wealth of experience to the club.
The defender had been a free agent since departing Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy in October last year. He had signed a one year contract with the Botswana club at the start of the year.
Though short lived, his time at Galaxy was marked by impressive performances, including a crucial goal contribution and aiding the team to a commendable third-place finish.
The seasoned defender's football journey has seen him represent some of Uganda's most prominent clubs, including KCCA FC, URA FC, SC Villa, and Proline FC.
His talent has transcended borders as well, having played for Congolese giants AS Vita Club and Ethiopia's Sebeta Kenema FC.

Lugazi FC has been active in the primary transfer window, and have acquired Latif Kiyemba, Sam Ssemugugu, Ronald Ssempala, Alvin Birungi, Freedom Mungudit, James Okiror, Abraham Opio, Mubarak Mitala, Andrew Odong and Samuel Nsubuga.
Brian Elijah Ssali, Paul Wasswa, Louis Anguti, Derrick Ochen, Muhammad Lubega, Isaac Tamale and Faisal Matovu have signed new contracts.
The club's new season campaign kicks off with a home game against Ndejje University on September 27th.
