Labbadia expressed his excitement at the possibility of coaching Nigeria in important competitions like the AFCON and the World Cup in an interview with Martin Harnik via Bild.
The German tactician said, "I was tempted to play in the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.
“Above all, to play in a World Cup with a team that would not have to hide from the big teams. Nigeria has an offense that is second to none. I have to say that honestly.”
The Super Eagles' offensive line, which featured Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen and Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray, pleased Labbadia.
