AS Roma defender Evan Ndicka was stretchered off after collapsing off the ball during their Serie A clash with Udinese.
Ndicka, 24, was taken off by medical staff in the 74th minute of the Serie A clash before the game was called off.
The game was 1-1 before the incident with both sides pressing for the winner.
Romelu Lukaku scored the equalizer in the 64th minute, canceling out Roberto Pereyra's early lead for the hosts.
Soon after Lukaku's goal, 24-year-old Ndicka was injured off the ball and had to be stretchered off.
Roma game called off after Ndicka collapses
Following Ndicka's injury, players from both teams were seen talking to the match referee, Luca Pairetto.
Roma manager Daniele De Rossi and Udinese boss Gabriele Cioffi were also involved in the discussions, and after the game was paused for 10 minutes, it was eventually abandoned.
Ndicka joined Roma last summer, signing on a free transfer after five seasons with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
