Shabana FC will hope to put a stop to their three-game winless run against Sofapaka while Kenya Police seek to add KCB to their list of casualties after their recent good run
Shabana FC will be aiming for their third win of the season when they face a resurgent Sofapaka in an FKF Premier League match at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on Saturday.
The Glamour Boys’ poor runs has continued after failing to win their last three games, which saw them lose three and draw one, to leave them 16th on the 18-team table with just 11 points from eight games.
Shabana are the third lowest scoring team in the division after managing just 11 all season while they have conceded 21, the second worst in the league, a combination that see them in a relegation scrap after coming into the league with high hopes.

FOOTBALL Shabana set deadline to announce new head coach
Shabana FC addresses poor performance, prepares to announce a new head coach, and vows to strengthen the squad in a bid for improvement.
Interim coach Oscar Kambona’s honeymoon ended as soon as it started when he won his first game before the following three ended in two losses and a draw.
He will have to find a way to get past Sofapaka who have woken up from their early season slumber to move to 13th on the table with 14 points, after spending most of this season at the bottom.
Batoto ba Mubgu have won their last two games with their unbeaten run stretching three straight matches and will head to Homa Bay high on confidence.
Sofapaka players seem to have started buying into coach Ezekiel Akwana’s ideas which has yielded seven points from a possible nine, a great return for a team that looked dead just one month ago.
Their critics will point to the good results coming against struggling AFC Leopards, Nzoia Sugar and Kariobangi Sharks but that is what will give them confidence of maximum points since they seem to be getting victories from teams around them on the table.
There will be two other matches on Saturday with Kenya Police hosting KCB while Bandari welcome Murang’a Seal.

FKFPL Mwalala reveals what KCB must do to win maiden FKF Premier League title
KCB boasts a strong home record this season, collecting 15 points and finding themselves fourth on 24 points, just four behind Gor Mahia.
Police are also back in form after going unbeaten in their last five games, a run that includes three wins and two draws, meaning KCB have their work cut out.
The bankers had been on good run but have dropped four points in their last two games following back-to-back draws and will fancy their chances against the law enforcers.
Meanwhile, Bandari will be out to return to winning ways after last weekend’s loss to Nairobi City Stars while Murang’a search for some redemption as pressure mounts following a run of three games without victory, including two losses.
