Tore Bobe's patron has questioned the recent dismissal of head coach Sammy Okoth after a poor string of results.

Shabana FC patron Sam Nyamweya has openly criticized the club's recent decision to part ways with Sammy Okoth as head coach.

Nyamweya believes that the club made an error in judgment and should have given Okoth more time to turn things around.

Shabana, currently struggling in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), is seeking a path to redemption.

"As a patron of the team, I can say that the decision was not wise. I don't like interfering with the club's internal affairs, but I always engage the leaders behind the scenes if I feel things are not working," Nyamweya stated as per Citizen TV.

"Okoth is the one who guided the team in winning the National Super League (NSL), and being that he understands the players well; I feel he should have been given time."

Okoth's tenure at Shabana saw the team participate in ten Premier League matches, resulting in a single win, four draws, and six losses.

Tore Bobe is currently under the tutelage of former Gor Mahia defender Oscar Kambona as the interim coach.

Kambona had an immediate impact by leading the club to a 2-1 victory over Nzoia Sugar in his first match in charge.

Meanwhile, Nyamweya pledged to secure more funding for the club to bolster its operations.

Shabana had inked a Ksh 20 million sponsorship deal at the start of the season with a local betting company, but Nyamweya emphasized that money alone is not sufficient.

"As the patron, I was also given the mandate to organize a fundraiser for the club because the current sponsorship isn't enough to run the club, and I have spoken to some of my wealthy friends who have assured me that they will contribute significant amounts of money to the fund," Nyamweya revealed.

Shabana FC has faced substantial challenges since returning to the top flight after spending 17 years in the lower leagues.

Currently placed 14th on the FKF Premier League table with 10 points from 11 games, the club is determined to regain its former glory.

In their upcoming fixture, Shabana will face table leaders Posta Rangers at Kasarani Annex on 25th November.
