Bandari FC have taken 2009 Kenyan Premier League champions Sofapaka to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) by filing a complaint against the club’s decision to play Amos Asembeka despite still being a Dockers player on four separate occasions this season.
In a letter written by Bandari CEO Tony Kibwana to the FKF CEO Barry Otieno and copied to Sofapaka CEO, the Dockers claim that Asembeka, who has played for Batoto ba Mungu four times this season, is still their player and still earns a monthly wage from the club.

“Against Kenya Police on 21st October 2023 (Match no. 55) played at the Kenyatta Stadium Machakos, against Tusker FC on 28th October 2023 (Match no.66) played at the Kenyatta Stadium Machakos, against KCB FC (match no.78) played at the Moi International Sports Centre- Kasarani Annex Stadium and against FC Talanta on 4th November 2023 (Match no.85) played at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.”
