Shocking scene! Super Falcons players pray for escape route after being stuck in elevator in Paris

A few players from the Super Falcons team, encountered an elevator breakdown in France while getting ready for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The Super Falcons are currently in France for the Olympics as they make their first appearance in sixteen years.

The women's national football team landed in Bordeaux on Thursday following their training camp in Seville, Spain.

With the team arriving in France for the Olympics, some of the players had a fearful moment after getting stuck in an elevator.

Super Falcons elevator experience 

In a friendly game played behind closed doors in Malaga versus Canada, the Super Falcons lost 1-0 during normal time but won 5-4 on penalties to round off their training.

The squad arrived in Bordeaux in Paris on Friday after departing from Spain as they prepared to play Brazil in their Olympic debut.

However, according to Ojora Babatunde on X, Asisat Oshoala, Uchenna Kanu, Tochukwu Oluehi, and a few others got stuck in an elevator when heading to their hotel rooms.

The players were shocked by what they were experiencing and they prayed to God for an intervention.

The players maintained their composure till they were saved despite the scare. During their stay, one player pledged to never use the lift again.

A short while later, someone forced open the elevator door, and the players walked to their rooms unharmed.

Randy Waldrum who is the head coach of the team is set to lead the women as they look to improve on their disappointing AFCON campaign.

Nigeria will face Brazil in their opening game in the Olympics before meeting world champions Spain and Japan respectively.
