Tanzania Premier League side Simba SC has faced stern sanctions from the Tanzania Premier League Board after being found guilty of engaging in "hazardous rituals," commonly referred to as Juju, prior to a match.
This incident, which was recorded and subsequently went viral, showing Simba SC's stewards performing these acts at the Azam Complex in their league match against Mashujaa FC on March 15, 2024, has led to a hefty fine and bans for those involved.

"These fans were observed in a brief video that circulated online discussing with a stadium steward before entering the stadium to commit this act, which projected a negative image of our league," a statement from the Tanzania Premier League Board explained.
