FC Talanta and Sofapaka FC shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Police Sacco Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The draw saw Talanta remain in 13th spot, but they are now level on points with 14th-placed Sofapaka and 12th-placed Murang'a Seal after dropping points.
Talanta got the game off on a positive note and created several goal scoring opportunities during the first 10 minutes of the match. The likes of Lucas Waitere and Agustine Kuta proved to be the attackers-in-chief for the home team, while Moses Asembeka and Paul Odhiambo struggled under the cosh.

Lous Masika was a whisker away from doubling their advantage eight minutes into the second half when he struck the left post from inside the area, while Sofapaka outfit nearly restored parity two minutes later as Victor Ougo pulled off a good save to deny Alex Juma from close range.
Kagan Ndemi then wasted the chance to equalise from a free-kick in the 61st minute as he planted his header wide from inside the six-yard box and Alex Juma almost made Sofapka pay seven minutes later from a corner that he headed inches wide of the right post.
Within a minute, Ian Omondi had rattled the sidebar with a strike from inside the area which saw Talanta denied by the frame of the goal for the third time in the match.
