The Soldiers shared moments of love and inspiration at a children's home.

They wear many hats; sometimes they wield heavy artillery, other times they are sports men and yet in other moments they represent the best of humanity. They are Ulinzi Stars.

Four-time Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) champions Ulinzi Stars ventured beyond the confines of the field to extend a hand of love and joy to the children of Yourep Children's Home in Nanyuki.

The visit took place on a sunny Wednesday, marking the conclusion of the team's pre-season camp, during which they participated in a series of friendlies, including a match against Al Azizia FC.

The footballers shared genuine moments of connection with the young residents of the children's center, leaving an indelible impact on both the players and the children.

In a statement, the team expressed their elation, stating, “We had an amazing time with kids from Yourep Children's Home, spreading love and joy as we impact positive vibes in these leaders of tomorrow.”

“This visit marked the end of our stay in Nanyuki as we headed back to the capital for final touches before the start of the league,” the statement concluded.

Looking ahead, Ulinzi Stars' journey continues as they brace themselves for the upcoming FKFPL season.

Their opening match against Nzoia Sugar FC on Saturday, August 26 promises to be a riveting encounter that will set the tone for the battles to come.

After finishing ninth in the previous season, the team under the guidance of coach Anthony Kimani, who took over the reins at the start of the month, aims to climb higher in the ranks and make their mark in Kenyan football.
