Soltilo Bright Stars FC were forced to come from a goal down to tie their game with Express FC to a one-all stalemate in the Uganda Premier League on Thursday.

Ashraf Mulindi came from the bench to cancel out Isaac Wagoina's opener at the Kavumba Recreation Center.

Wagoina gave the Red Eagles a 47-minute lead off a rebound after his penalty had been saved by goalkeeper Hassan Matovu.

However, with seven minutes to the 90, Mulindi levelled matters with a calm finish past custodian Abdul Kimera.

Following the result, Express sit eighth with 26 points in 18 games. They will host UPDF FC in their next on February 27.

Meanwhile, Bright Stars, who are 11th with 22 points, will be away to Vipers on February 29 at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende.

Elsewhere, Mbarara City extended their unbeaten home run to nine games after their 1-0 win against Busoga United.

Edward Namaasa scored the only goal of the evening to make it five victories at the Kakyeka Stadium this season so far.

They've also drawn on four occasions while their only loss came against NEC FC on their maiden game this season.

With the result, Mbarara moved 10th on the table with 23 points, while Busoga United stayed stuck in the 14th place with 15 on the 16-team table.
