Samson Siasia, former Super Eagles coach has claimed that Alex Iwobi is not the right replacement for Jay Jay Okocha.
The Nigerian legend recently returned to coaching after his 5-year FIFA ban ended a few weeks ago.
Following the end of his ban, he has revealed that the Super Eagles team still lacks a significant player in the team.
He insisted that the team still needs a creative midfielder to become one of the best footballing nations in the world.

Siasia speaks on Super Eagles team
According to former Nigerian coach Siasia, the Nigeria team is full of excellent players; the only thing they lack is a player with the ability to create opportunities, such as Jay-Jay Okocha.
Siasia told Lagos Talks, “We don’t have an offensive midfield player that can give the last pass to the strikers. We have great strikers, but we need someone that is missing.
“Iwobi can not play that position. He’s a good player, but he’s not doing as much as he’s supposed to as an offensive player.
“We have to look for that person in the centre of the field, who can give the last passes and score goals.
“In the defence and other parts, right and left midfield, we are good. We need someone like Jay-Jay Okocha, but it has to be somebody that can score more than him.”
No player has been able to work the same kind of magic for the Super Eagles since Okocha quit international football.
Nobody on the pitch today possesses his vision or skill set. The Super Eagles might win games with a creative midfielder who can create opportunities.
Nigeria is home to some of Africa's best attackers, including Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi, Victor Osimhen, and Victor Boniface.
A few other good midfielders and defenders are Calvin Bassey, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, William Troost-Ekong, and Ola Aina.
But despite their quality, the team has not been able to win games convincingly or play well all the time.
