The tactician believes staying calm and not panicking has helped his side end their poor form as he eyes further success
Kariobangi Sharks coach William Muluya says letting his players express themselves can help build on from their monumental win over Mathare United last Tuesday.
Sharks had gone on a run of four consecutive league losses until a Tyson Otieno brace, both goals from the penalty spot, gave them the much-needed win.

FKFPL Muluya admits Slum Derby win is a confidence booster ahead of FKF Cup quarters
Kariobangi Sharks had gone on a run of four consecutive league losses before beating Mathare United.
Muluya compared the situation to “having a storm calming itself down”, having insisted he did not ask his players to do anything special.
“I did not ask my players to do anything different from what we have been doing. I just let them play. Sometimes when the storm is too much, you just let it calm itself down. They needed to express themselves, especially considering it was a derby.”

Further debate has been raised following the unusual way in which Sharks’ two spot-kicks were taken during their win over Mathare United.
Muluya hopes his young side have gained enough maturity from the highs and lows this season to do well for the remainder of the campaign and especially in the cup competition.
“I have been in charge for a year. The signs have been there. I just hope the maturity can come up. I do not want to use the excuse of players playing in the Premier League for the first time in their careers this season.
“We just hope we can finish the season on a high. We obviously cannot win the league, but we can finish as high as we can and hopefully do very well in the cup competition.
