His father, José Antonio Reyes Calderon, was a Spanish international who made headlines with a £17 million move from Sevilla to Arsenal in 2004.
During his impressive career, Reyes Senior also played for Atlético Madrid, Benfica, and even Los Blancos, making 38 appearances for Real Madrid, helping them to LaLiga glory in 2007, netting a title winning brace in the final match of the season.

After his father’s tragic death in 2019, Reyes Lopez has dedicated himself to continuing the family legacy. Reyes junior seems to be following a similar path, with Real Madrid expressing their faith in him by renewing his contract just last week.
He shared his gratitude for a new deal on social media, saying, “I am very proud to be part of this great family and very happy to continue fulfilling my dreams!”
Reyes Lopez joined Real Madrid’s La Fabrica academy from Leganés in 2019 and has quickly progressed through each tier of the youth system.
His standout performances for Juvenil B, Real’s second youth team, have earned him his spot in first-team training—a rare feat for someone his age.
