Another club has also shown interest in Omala after Orlando Pirates were reported to be monitoring him last month.
Gor Mahia talisman Benson Omala is reportedly the subject of a transfer tussle between South African giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
Omala is currently the leading scorer in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) with 24 goals from 25 games and his red-hot form has put both Pirates and Chiefs on alert as they search for a striker ahead of next season.

Omala will not travel with the team to face Iran in Tehran.
The 21-year-old showed the Soweto giants what they would be getting with a brace last weekend when Gor allowed a 2-0 advantage slip to draw 2-2 with Posta Rangers.
The striker’s goals have enabled Gor to stay in the title hunt as they lie second on the table with 53 points, one behind leaders Tusker, with seven matches remaining.

The in-form forward reveals his ambition amid links to the Sea Robbers.
It now appears Omala might not last long at K’Ogalo if the South African giants make true their interest and come with suitable offers that will entice his camp and club.
Pirates and Chiefs have struggled to catch up with Mamelodi Sundowns again this season, allowing Masandawana to romp to a sixth straight Premier Soccer League (PSL) crown, while they are left fighting for second place to qualify for next season’s CAF Champions League.
Their struggles have been down to a lack of goals with Pirates first-choice strikers Kermit Erasmus and Terrence Dzvukamanja managing three apiece this season while January signing Souaibo Marou is rarely used by coach Jose Riveiro.
Chiefs, meanwhile, have Burundian Bonfis Caleb-Bimenyimana and Congolese Christian Saile, who signed in January, but the two have been inconsistent, the former managing eight goals, six of which came in the first two months of the season, while the latter has two.

FKFPL Omala ends his run of 3 league games without a goal: but why did he go on it in the first place?
Omala had gone on a run of 4 consecutive games without a win before his brace against Bandari.
The poor form shown by the forwards means both sides will be in the market for a prolific striker ahead of next season and Omala is being considered as one that fits the bill given his skillset and age.
“Chiefs have shown interest (in Omala). They are monitoring the striker in Kenya. He is currently the best player in the Kenyan Premier League. There is also interest from overseas,” a source told South African publication KickOff.
It remains to be seen if the interest will transform into something concrete and which side of Soweto Omala will end up.
