Antony: €95 million flop
The 24-year-old winger joined the Red Devils for an incredible €95 million fee but has failed to live up to the standards of the price tag.
Since joining the Red Devils in the summer of 2022, he has only managed 12 goals in 93 appearances, with a paltry five assists to add to his contribution tally.
The Manchester-based side are preparing to cut their losses and recoup some of their investment. Antony’s stocks are at an all-time low, and they are open to a loan deal to help the player build back some interest.
Real Betis’ interest
According to a report from Spanish publication ABC, the Andalusian giants are positioning themselves as a loan location for the Brazilian winger.
Per the report, they have already initiated contacts with Manchester United to discuss Antony’s wage split, as otherwise, they will be unable to match the players' pay, given LALIGA's strict wage cap.
Also, there are discussions of the possible sale of talented youngster Assane Diao, the proceeds of which will allow the heliopolitans wiggle room in the wage bill department.
