Sporting Lagos are still without a win away from home in the NPFL despite sacking former coach Paul Offor.

Sporting Lagos supporters are up in arms following their side's humiliating 4-1 defeat at the hands of Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The emphatic loss, Sporting Lagos' heaviest since earning promotion to the top flight, has left fans questioning the club's decision to sack former manager Paul Offor in favour of Abdullahi Biffo.

Offor had guided the Tech Boys to a historic promotion last season, but his successor has endured a difficult start, with Sporting Lagos still searching for their first away win of the campaign.

Speaking after the match, frustrated supporters took to social media to vent their frustration, with one fan lamenting:

"Away loss na curse for una ni? unto say make una go win for away but instead na the stadium grass una dey uproot."

Another added: "Tụfịakwa! It wasn't this bad under Paul. This is an eyesore."

The scale of the defeat has left many questioning the logic behind Offor's dismissal, with one fan asking bluntly: "What exactly is the point of sacking coach Paul?"

Biffo, an experienced NPFL tactician, was brought in to help Sporting Lagos salvage their season after a run of games that left them 12th on the table.

However, the 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Rivers United has left supporters doubtful over whether he is the right man for the job after the club now sit just one point from relegation.

The club will need to regroup quickly, with fixtures against NPFL leaders Rangers Int’l and Bayelsa United on the horizon, as they look to appease an increasingly disgruntled fan base.
