The Noisy Lagosian Academy becomes the first Club from Nigeria to lift the Gothia Cup.

Sporting Lagos came out firing in the B17E championship final of the Gothia Cup, becoming the first Nigerian Club to win a trophy at the championship.

The Lagos-based team made their debut by quickly establishing themselves as one of the teams to beat in the competition.

Sporting Lagos defeated Japanese Club, Tokyo Fc.

Their dominance paid off in the ninth minute when Yusuf Abdullahi capitalized on a defensive lapse, slotting the ball past the helpless FC Tokyo goalkeeper.

Ten minutes later, they doubled their lead thanks to a stunning strike from Babatunde Akomolede. He unleashed a rocket from outside the box into the top corner, leaving the Japanese goalkeeper with no chance.

Sporting Lagos took a commanding 2-0 lead into halftime.

The second half saw Sporting Lagos maintain their grip on the match as they continued to create chances offensively while remaining defensively solid.

In the 55th minute, Lucky John put the game to bed, following up on a rebound and tapping the ball into the net for the third goal.

Sporting Lagos wasn't done there as they added another goal to their tally, securing a resounding 4-0 victory and claiming the B17E championship title.

Babatunde Akomolede, who was awarded the Most Valuable Player award for his outstanding exploits, described the team's performance as excellent.
