NSC has moved to secure Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri for Super Eagles
The National Sports Commission (NSC) has revealed that it has begun efforts to help the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) secure the services of Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri, who is also being courted by England.

Nwaneri has been impressive for Arsenal, scoring a goal in their 7-1 demolition of PSV in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
His performances have caught the attention of England's new manager, Thomas Tuchel, with some top retired English footballers urging Tuchel to name Nwaneri in his team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

A concerned Nigerian football administrator has called on the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to pull all the stops to secure Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri for the Super Eagles.
However, Nwaneri's family has revealed that he is willing to represent England or Nigeria, whichever country approaches him first.
What NSC said
This has put the NFF on high alert, with the NSC pledging to assist in securing Nwaneri's services for the Super Eagles.

"We will assist the NFF in whatever way to secure Nwaneri's services for the Super Eagles," said Bukola Olopade, Director General of the NSC via Guardian.
The move to secure Nwaneri is in line with the NSC's declaration that the era of losing Nigerian-born players to other countries is over.
