Antonio Conte has confirmed Victor Osimhen's banishment from Napoli, insisting the club don’t need the Super Eagles striker.
Osimhen was recently excluded from Napoli’s first team following his failed move to Premier League club Chelsea.
The striker was the focal point of the recently closed transfer window and was linked to top clubs in Europe.
Chelsea had made a strong effort to sign Osimhen, but the Premier League team was left empty-handed when the transfer deadline passed.

Conte speaks on new arrivals
Conte has implied that Osimhen has little chance of staying at Napoli and he has new players who have arrived and are ready to play.
According to Tutto Napoli, Conte said, “Strong players have arrived from a market that was difficult and at times blocked. They came to fill the slots, and I’m happy with the work done by the club.”
He also spoke about Osimhen’s transfer: “Of course, if Osimhen had been sold, we would have completed the situation better.”
Osimhen looked close to joining Chelsea late in the transfer window but could not agree on his weekly wages.
The primary obstacle to the deal seemed to be Chelsea's unwillingness to match Osimhen's present pay.
Osimhen reportedly ended talks and left the negotiation while he refused an offer from Chelsea.
