Bottom-of-the league side Silibwet Lions will be facing an on-song Mombasa Elite side this afternoon at the Silibwet stadium in Bomet hoping to end their barren run of winless games to help them sail out of the relegation places.
Silibwet have not tasted victory since beating Darajani Gogo 2-0 in a waterlogged Silibwet stadium in April, and have only gathered two points from five matches, leaving them languishing in 17th place on 12 points after 26 matches played.
They have won just two matches all season. They have drawn nine and lost the other 15. Their toothlessness in front of goal has been exposed, as they have found the back of the net just 11 times and conceded 40, making them have an inferior goal difference of minus 29.

Both title contenders were unable to get the best of each other in a match that epitomized what competition really is.
Mombasa Elite will be traveling to Bomet on the back of winning two of their last three games. They beat Kisumu All Stars 2-1 away, before following it up with a 4-2 win over Kajiado.
A win for Mombasa will leapfrog them over Naivas to seventh. They will be seeking to make their goal difference positive as it currently stands at 0. They have netted 35 goals and also conceded another 35.
At the Idlamat stadium in Kajiado, there will be a relegation clash taking place between hosts Kajiado and Vihiga United, in a clash of very high stakes.
Kajiado are 15th on 18 points with a -27 goal difference, but with a game in hand over 16th place VIhiga United who have amassed just 16 points, but with a -41 goal difference.
Vihiga are the NSL’s leakiest side, conceding 63 goals and will need to find a way to stop the rot, especially facing a Kajiado attack that have scored no less than two goals a match in each of their last four fixtures.

Migori have lost just once and won the other four of their last five games, while Heroes have won two of their last five league games.
Migori found the net 33 times and conceded just 15 in their 26 league games. Heroes have scored 27 times, but conceded 44 times, meaning they possess one of the leakiest defenses in the division and will need to be on song to stop Heroes.
