"The lesser the games, the tougher it becomes," he stated.

He continued, "I expected the game to be tough, considering the league positions of the teams coming to face us. Plateau United are a very good side, and they don’t want to be relegated, which was evident in their performance tonight."

Ogunmodede also pointed to fatigue as a key factor in the team’s performance.

"Fatigue is a considerable factor in our performance today, and that's why I need to give big kudos to the players for fighting relentlessly.

"We have had two tough games in the past five days and have travelled for over 80 hours," he added.

Despite being tipped as favourites to win the league, the Super Eagles B coach stressed that his team could not afford to be complacent.

The win extends Remo Stars' lead at the top of the table, and they will look to continue their momentum in their next match.
