Musa scored the equaliser for Kano Pillars, marking his fifth goal in eight games this season.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa's goal rescued a draw for Kano pillars, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Heartland in the Nigeria Premier Football League match.

The game featured the legendary duo of Rabiu Ali and Ahmed Musa; both players have been in stellar form this season and continued their goal-scoring exploits.

Ali netted his second goal in six games, while Musa scored in the 75th minute to level the scores at 2-2, marking his fifth goal in eight games this season.

However, Heartland's Suraju Lawal proved to be a thorn in Pillars' side, scoring twice to put the visitors in front, but ultimately, his team was pegged back on both occasions.

The Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano was a spectacle for the fans with the return of Musa generating excitement, and the stadium was packed to capacity.

With the draw, Pillars remain unbeaten at home this season but have dropped important points in their title aspirations.

As a result, Pillars fell from fifth to sixth on the table, while defending champions Rangers rose to fourth after a tense 3-2 victory over Bendel Insurance in Enugu.

The Flying Antelopes surged to a 3-0 lead by the 55th minute, with goals from Godwin Obaje, Frank Uwumiro, and Effimi Nsi, but Bendel Insurance nearly staged a comeback with goals from Anthony Nnamdi and Uchenna Collins.

In other matches, Remo Stars and Rivers United maintained their first and second positions, respectively, after a goalless draw in Ikenne.

The Sky Blue Stars lead the table with 23 points, followed closely by Finidi George’s team with 22 points, while nine-time champions Enyimba are third with 20 points after a 1-1 draw with Abia Warriors in Umuahia.
