Kano Pillars have announced the signing of Super Eagles duo Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi.
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has completed a move to Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars, as confirmed by the club's head coach.
Musa, 31, has been out of work since Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor at the end of last season, after a stint in which he was used sparingly. There have been rumours that he is set to join Sai Masu Gida, a club he has had two previous stints with; the club has now confirmed those reports.

Ahmed Musa and Shebu Abdullah to reunite at Pillars
According to a report from Brila FM, Kano Pillars’ head coach, Usman Abdullah, confirmed that Super Eagles duo Musa and Shehu Abdullah have signed for the club.
Usman told reporters that the duo have been part of their training set-up for some weeks now and are ready to step onto the pitch, with the weekend game against the Sunshine Stars in view.
Shehu Abdullah, like Musa, has been out of work. The right-back, with 41 caps for the Super Eagles, has been a free agent since his exit from Bulgarian side Levski Sofia in 2023. Also similar to Musa, he has previously played for the Pillars, donning their jersey from 2012–2014.
Super Eagles legend Segun Odegbami believes Ahmed Musa decided to join the NFPL club to improve his chances of being in the Super Eagles set up for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco. However, he warns that the move has only sometimes worked out for previous players.
