Troost-Ekong bags another award
The prestigious African Nations Football Awards (ANFA) held in Cairo, Egypt is another feather added to the cap of one of Nigeria's most-dependable players.
"I want to say a big thank you to everyone at the ANFA Awards, first of all for being nominated, and now, from what I understand, to have won the prize, so it is a big honour for me.
"Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it to the ceremony. I am in transit, and I will be travelling to join the national team later today, so I couldn’t make it to the ceremony," Troost-Ekong said.
The defender has also received a nomination for the CAF African Footballer of the Year award, further highlighting his exceptional performance during the AFCON earlier this year.
